Invitation to Gateshead Schools Careers Leader meeting to outline your training provision

Thursday 3rd November 2022 5 – 6pm

Heworth Grange School

High Lanes, Heworth, Gateshead NE10 0PT

Sent on behalf of the North East LEP

Dear Provider,

I would like to invite you to an event to speak to all of the Gateshead Schools Careers Leaders about your post-16 training provision.

The event is part of our BEEP network (Building Education and Enterprise Partnerships) which is an innovative pilot bringing together Career Leaders from across the Secondary schools, local FE College and SEND schools and their assigned business support volunteers (Enterprise Advisers).

We have met on a termly basis since 2021, the aim being to cultivate partnerships across all those involved in supporting careers activity across Gateshead.

One of the key focus areas this term is the Provider Access Legislation.

As a result, we would like to extend an invitation for you to attend as a guest to network with the schools and Enterprise Advisers to talk, informally, via a speed networking session about your offers which support post 16 pathways. There is no need for stands, publications etc as this will be a fast paced session providing you with the opportunity to connect with local schools and employers who work with those schools to support their planning to meet the Provider Access Legislation statutory duties.

This session will begin promptly at 5pm, however, you are welcome to arrive from 4.30 onwards where you will hear us setting the context to the Provider Access Legislation and the wider Gateshead Technical Education offer.

Please can you confirm your attendance to my colleague Dawn Bewick dawn.bewick@nelep.co.uk, no later than the 31st October.
