Skills Bootcamp Funding - Submit an EOI

The North East LEP are seeking expressions of interest from specialist providers interested in delivering Skills Bootcamps.

Skills bootcamps are part of the National Skills Fund, a £2.5 billion initiative to help adults train and gain skills quickly to improve their job prospects. The North East Local Enterprise Partnership has secured £7.4 million for delivery of Skills Bootcamps between 1 April 2023 and 31 March 2024. Skills Bootcamps are built around the needs of local employers’ and their supply chains:

  • Developed for those looking to gain work, additional responsibilities, or access new opportunities

  • Available to: Adults aged 19 and over looking to update or build their skills

  • Duration: From 60 hours and up to 16 weeks

  • Course type: Flexible training either regulated (qualification based) or non-regulated (based on alignment with industry standards)

The LEP plan to support Skills Bootcamp delivery in the following sectors:

Green Skills including:

  • Green Construction and Buildings

  • Green Power

  • Green Transport

  • Green Protection of Natural Resources

Pathways to Accelerated Apprenticeships

Technical including

  • Advanced Manufacturing

  • Electronics and Electrotechnical Engineering

  • Welding


  • Business and People Management

  • Education Learning and Training
